The Consistency Working Group recognizes that accreditation relies on the expertise and generosity of peer reviewers. An effective quality assurance system requires consistency and shared judgement among these peer experts.
Technology allows for efficient delivery of rigorous training and sophisticated calibration experiences. High-quality, role-specific training tailored to the needs of volunteers from higher education, P12 education, and the public is essential and can include blended online and face-to-face experiences, as well as ‘apprenticeship’ experiences.
The Working Group is charged with outlining expectations for professional learning for peer reviewers in all roles within AAQEP, and with proposing characteristics of AAQEP’s professional learning practices. The Group will also propose calibration protocols to support consistency in expectations, operations, and outcomes.
