Mark LaCelle-Peterson is the founding president of AAQEP. Prior to this role, he was Senior Vice President and led American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education’s work in state and federal relations, quality support, and data initiatives. He has served in faculty administrative roles in public and private educator preparation and as a leader in national programmatic accreditation, serving as President of TEAC and Senior VP of CAEP. He has written on equity in assessment of English Language Learners, democratic teacher education, faculty development in higher education, curriculum history, and program evaluation. In addition to his extensive work leading accreditation teams and serving as an accreditation case reviewer, his program evaluation experience includes work in a federally-funded evaluation technical assistance center and as the designated evaluator of state- and federally-funded education programs.
Linda S. McKee serves as a founding team member for the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). Linda’s relevant work experience includes strategic planning and administration to promote continuous improvement and performance measures, documentation of the outcomes in a variety of contexts, and research into optimal use of evidence for program improvement. Prior to joining AAQEP, McKee was the senior director for the Quality Support Center at AACTE. She has served as director for member and state relations with a national accreditor for education programs and spent over 10 years as director of the Tulane University’s Teacher Preparation and Certification Program. McKee has served education as a classroom teacher, district and state administrator, educator preparation administrator, and national consultant. Her teaching experience includes teacher preparation, leadership training for educators, continuous improvement for PK-16, secondary language arts, and gifted education.
Sungti Hsu serves as a founding team member for the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). Prior to founding AAQEP, Sungti served as the Director for State Affiliates and Partnership Support at the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE). His portfolio included strengthening state government relations, proving programmatic and advocacy support to state affiliates, and transforming the association's data collection and utilization efforts. Prior to joining AACTE, he served in various positions in state education agencies, as project coordinator at the New York State Education Department and lead higher education consultant and licensure consultant at Kansas State Department Education. He developed educator data systems, led state educator standard revision, and coordinated redevelopment and implementation of educator licensure assessments in addition to guiding and shaping the formation and operation of state educator preparation policies.
