AAQEP Expectations, Processes, and Consistency.
An accreditation system must recognize program quality, support innovation, respect local missions and state priorities, and operate efficiently and transparently. Educators from 14 states* are engaged in developing expectations (standards and evidence), process and consistency frameworks for the new system. *Arizona, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Virginia
● Expectations Framework: Ginny Goatley (University at Albany [SUNY]) and Aaron Popham (Brigham Young University), co-chairs; Mark LaCelle-Peterson, staff liaison. This group will develop the initial standards and evidence framework for AAQEP.
● Processes Framework: Christine Carrino Gorowara (University of Delaware) and Joe Lubig (Northern Michigan University), co-chairs; Sungti Hsu, staff liaison. This group will develop the initial process framework for AAQEP, including self-study, off-site review, site visit, review, accreditation decision, annual reporting and follow-up. ● Consistency Framework: Erica Brownstein (the Ohio State University) and Catherine Wigent (Oakland University) co-chairs; Linda McKee, staff liaison.
